BYD’s “God’s Eye” Smart Driving: A New Era for Affordable ADAS

BYD Smart Driving has once again shaken the auto industry. On February 10, the company launched its national smart driving strategy. With this move, BYD introduced the "God's Eye" intelligent driving system, bringing high-level ADAS features to all its models.

Making Smart Driving Accessible to Everyone

Traditionally, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) were exclusive to luxury cars. However, BYD is changing the game. The new "God's Eye C" system debuts on 21 models, priced between ¥70,000 and ¥200,000. This includes budget-friendly EVs like the BYD Seagull. With this move, BYD is setting a new standard, ensuring that smart driving becomes a mainstream feature rather than a luxury add-on.

Three Levels of "God's Eye" Smart Driving

BYD’s intelligent system comes in three versions:

God's Eye A (DiPilot 600) – Three-lidar advanced ADAS (for Yangwang models)

God's Eye B (DiPilot 300) – Lidar-based advanced smart driving (for Denza and BYD premium models)

God's Eye C (DiPilot 100) – Three-camera smart driving (for mass-market BYD models)

Among these, notably, God's Eye C offers the best balance between performance and affordability. Moreover, equipped with a triple-camera 5R12V sensor system and AI-driven algorithms, it ensures smooth and reliable operation in real-world driving scenarios.

Key Features of "God's Eye C"

Highway and city navigation (HNOA) – Supports lane changes, obstacle avoidance, ramp transitions, and adaptive cruise control.

Automated Valet Parking (AVP) – Provides smart parking memory, keyless retrieval, and autonomous parking solutions.

Memory Navigation (MNOA) – Ideal for daily commuting, managing traffic signals, complex intersections, and automatic overtaking.

With these features, BYD enhances safety, convenience, and driving comfort.

Will 2025 Be the Year of Mass Smart Driving?

BYD’s aggressive pricing strategy significantly lowers the cost of smart driving technology. Competitors may struggle to keep up. Meanwhile, the company's data advantage strengthens its lead, thanks to a vast cloud database and continuous driving data input. As a result, this enables faster AI model evolution, creating a strong competitive moat.

As a result, other automakers must accelerate their smart driving efforts. Prices for ADAS systems will likely drop, making intelligent driving more accessible to everyone.

In short, BYD is leading the way toward a smart-driving revolution. The era of mass-market ADAS is finally here.
